Deluxe’s Tech Partnership with ESL Shortlisted for IBC Innovation Award (MESA)

Earlier this year Deluxe partnered with eSports company ESL to deliver its biggest event of the year over the public Internet using IP. Reaching more than 46 million viewers, it was the most widely broadcasted event in eSports history. IBC has recognized the achievement, shortlisting the project for its prestigious IBC Innovation Award.

With the goal of moving to more flexible, cost effective and innovative content delivery methods, ESL partnered with Deluxe to enable the delivery of live ESL broadcast feeds securely over the public internet. The tournament in Poland reached more than 46 million viewers, making it the most widely broadcasted event in eSport and ESL’s history.

Tobias Grieser, Managing Director, at ESL said: “Deluxe was the ideal technology partner to deliver this incredible tournament. With a two-and-a-half-week turnaround time, they deployed a simple and cost-effective broadcast delivery solution that ensured millions of eSports fans in Europe and the Middle East didn’t miss out on any of the action. With many of our rights holding broadcasters already connected to the Deluxe IP Network, set-up was incredibly easy and happened at the switch of a button.”
