Vistex Adds Seasoned Consumer Products Industry Principle (MESA)

Vistex, which offers go-to-market solutions for managing pricing, incentive, rights and royalty and channel programs, has announced the addition of Gary Adams as Industry Principle for Consumer Products.

Decades of experience in the consumer products industry has enabled Gary to develop a deep understanding of how CP manufacturers’ sales and marketing organizations approach problems, make decisions, and profitably deliver products to their consumers. His experience spans a variety of sales, marketing and solution roles with major companies including General Foods Corp., Quaker Oats, SAP, CAS, and Accenture.

Gary will support customers and prospects as they look to design and develop improved strategies and processes to drive profitable business growth. He will utilize the entire breadth and depth of his industry knowledge to support numerous groups within Vistex, including sales execution, product management, demand generation, pre- and post-sales account management.

“The move in recent years from purely tactical trade promotion management to an analytically supported decision-making and planning process has changed the way consumer products manufacturers do business,” said Gary Adams. “And while they embrace the insights made available by this more analytical approach, tracking and analyzing the data is absorbing more staff time than ever before. Technology providers that are able to support users with comprehensive, automated tools that reduce that burden will win over more consumer product manufacturer customers, and bring more meaningful promotion programming to the table.”

Tushar Shah, Vice President, Sales North America, added, “Gary brings a wealth of knowledge and experience on leading practices for companies to leverage go-to-market programs to drive profitable growth across their brands and categories. His understanding of sales and marketing business processes – and how they connect across enterprise functions – will contribute significantly to Vistex’s mission to enable companies to maximize returns on their program investments.”
