MESA Announces First Media & Entertainment Day, July 25 at Microsoft Technology Center in New York City

NEW YORK — The Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA) has announced the inaugural Media & Entertainment Day for Tuesday, July 25th at the Microsoft Technology Center on Eighth Avenue in New York City.

The day-long event will feature four tracks of programming on two floors to provide the East Coast Media & Entertainment (M&E) community with the latest technology updates from Microsoft, their technology partners and their customers. Industry experts will deliver case studies and solutions showcases on data, analytics, security, the cloud and artificial intelligence.

MESA represents over 125 technology solutions and services providers focused on media & entertainment. In addition to panels and keynotes, the program will include partner technology case studies including production in the cloud, securing post, playout, rendering and storage.

MESA’s two half-day programs will include the first east-coast installment of its acclaimed Content Protection Summit, which is LA’s preeminent conference for security, privacy and content protection professionals. Its Metadata Madness East event will explore the widening application of Smart Content for movies, television, advertising and digital content.

“MESA is pleased to co-locate its programs with Microsoft’s M&E Day and looks forward to helping build the event into a midsummer bell-weather event for the New York media & entertainment community,” says Guy Finley, MESA Executive Director.

Scott Bounds, Microsoft US Industry Leader for Communications and Media added, “Microsoft looks forward to bringing together thought leaders from throughout the media & entertainment community to exchange the latest trends and technologies that impact the business practices of executives in television, advertising and digital. We welcome the membership of MESA and the entire M&E community to join us for this new annual event.”

The full-day of conferences, keynotes, workshops and technology showcases will culminate in an industry networking party on the scenic roof deck at MTC, overlooking Time Square.
