Evolution Digital Signs TiVo Certified Guide Renewal for eGUIDE

Evolution Digital has signed a certified guide renewal agreement with TiVo to deploy eGUIDE, a newly-designed interactive program guide (IPG). eGUIDE, powered by TiVo metadata, will feature rich graphics and a navigation scheme designed similarly to TiVo’s current i-Guide. The new solution provides cable operators in the United States and Canada with an IP-capable alternative to easily migrate legacy set-top boxes using i-Guide.
eGUIDE is available on Evolution Digital’s IP Hybrid eBOX, which can be configured to support all-IP video including live linear channels, IP video on demand, network DVR and catch-up TV. eGUIDE features a 16:9 HD format, rich graphics as well as navigational features similar to iGuide. eGUIDE is enabled by TiVo’s enhanced metadata services, which helps users easily find their favorite TV shows and movies, as well as discover new content across various channels.

The initial version of eGUIDE includes access to Evolution Digital’s eVUE-TV IP video platform. eGUIDE can also support targeted, interactive advertising capabilities to enable higher ad revenue.
