SDI Media Localizes ‘Harry’ for Same-Day Release Across Asia

Media localization provider SDI Media has been tapped by Fox Networks Group (FNG) Asia to provide localization services for the American talk show “Harry,” hosted by Harry Connick Jr.

SDI will be creating same-day localized versions of the show in both Mandarin and Thai (translations and subtitles) to allow audiences in Asia to watch episodes of the show shortly after it airs in the U.S. Subtitled versions of “Harry” are now available in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, within 24 hours of the episodes airing in the U.S.

“Harry” currently airs Tuesdays to Saturdays on StarWorld SEA in Asia.

“Global audiences are requesting access to the same content across all territories and we are pleased to partner with FNG to assist in the fulfillment of those requests,” said Michael Tang, managing director of Asia for SDI Media. “As broadcasters require faster timelines in additional languages, SDI Media is equipped to manage those projects and fulfill those demands.”

The new agreement with FNG for Harry continues a partnership with SDI Media for expedited localization servicing that first began in 2015.
