NeuLion Adds Another University to College Platform Ranks

NeuLion’s College Platform offers a giant suite of digital tools for universities, bringing an all-in-one platform for the web and mobile for users, with everything from live and VOD content to ticketing covered.

More than 140 colleges, universities and conferences (including Duke, Florida State and Louisiana State University) currently use the platform, and NeuLion has just announced the addition of another: Seminole State College of Florida, a public state college that has an enrollment of more than 30,000 students.

What makes the addition of Seminole State unique is that it’s the first junior college to partner with NeuLion and take advantage of its College Platform, and it’s also the first official athletic web site for Seminole State, with NeuLion set to give the college a new digital video solution for both live and VOD content. That means new revenue streams and better marketing for a big college that many may not have heard of.

“The NeuLion College Solution is a perfect fit for smaller athletic departments,” said Tim Vargas, SVP for NeuLion. “We serve as an extension of the school’s athletic department, providing a dedicated account manager, a project manager and access to our marketing and creative teams. We work with our partners to create custom designed sites and feature rich video solutions that help grow fan bases and revenue. As a junior college with a powerful technology solution and access to experienced support teams, Seminole State will be a leader in the marketplace.”

Seminole State’s Raiders teams compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), and will use NeuLion’s solutions for desktop, tablet and mobile devices, with a dedicated site for news, schedules and promotions. Elements of social media, stats integration, video streaming and e-commerce will all be integrated.

“Seminole State is excited to partner with NeuLion to provide Raiders fans with a premium destination to enjoy and engage with the school’s athletic content,” said Kurt Esser, Seminole State’s director of athletics. “The customer support and resources that NeuLion provides are crucial to a small athletic department like ours and what we can offer to our fans. We will continue to align our championship programs with leaders in the sports industry, and NeuLion is certainly at the top of that list.”
